Bowler of the Month Instructions
You may submit as many scores as you wish. There is no limit on the number of bowlers or scores your league may nominate. Please submit every score you believe deserves consideration; the computer will compare all eligible nominations and determine the winners.
A bowler may earn Bowler of the Month only once during the July–June season, regardless of category. Before submitting a nomination, please review the Winners table below to make sure the bowler has not already won during the current season.
- Select the league you represent.
- For each nominee, select the bowler’s division—Adult, Youth, or Special Olympics—and sex.
- Enter the bowler’s name, scratch series, average, and the date the score was bowled.
- Enter your name and press Submit BOM Nomination. After the nomination is submitted, you will return to this form. Continue submitting additional scores—one at a time—until you have entered every score you wish to nominate. There is no limit on the number of nominations a league may submit. You may submit Adult, Youth, and Special Olympics nominations in any order.
- Enter your name and press Submit BOM Nominations.
Adults will automatically be considered for both the Scratch and Handicap awards. Youth and Special Olympics bowlers will be considered for Handicap awards only. Bowlers compete only within their own division and sex.
For Handicap consideration, the program will use 100% of the difference between the bowler’s average and 225. Enter the appropriate average for the date the score was bowled, using the first applicable method below:
a. The bowler’s average in the submitting league, based on 12 or more games;
b. The bowler’s final average from the previous season in that league, based on 21 or more games; or
c. The bowler’s highest USBC book average from the previous season, based on 21 or more games.
After the 10th of each month, the program will evaluate all nominations submitted by LCUSBC leagues and determine the winners in each category. The results will be sent to league secretaries and bowling centers and added to the Winners table.
Do not enter handicap scores. Enter scratch scores only.
The computer will calculate the correct handicap and handicap series.
